Chestnut Shepherds Crook

Make in UK

In stock

A beautifully crafted and distinctively traditional crook. Originally used by shepherds for catching their sheep, its unusual shape means it is a popular country walking stick and dog trialling crook

Made from coppiced English chestnut wood, and steamed into shape. If your crook gets damp or wet it will unfurl when it dries – strap/tie the curled end back onto the shaft to prevent this from happening and do not dry in front of a fire or heater.

Made from coppiced chestnut wood, its overall height is approximately 137cm (54") and it is fitted with a smart metal ferrule.
Great display piece as well
